Canvas
PBS LearningMedia content can be easily shared on Canvas by copying and pasting resource links from www.pbslearningmedia.org. Your students can access the content right from their Canvas account. This section shows you how.
- From the PBS LearningMedia website, click the resource that you want to share with your class on the Canvas platform and on the left side of the resource, click Build a lesson (Figure 1).

- The resource displays as a lesson with all elements automatically populated. In the Lesson Title textbox, type a title for this lesson and in the Instructions slide textbox, provide some guidance for your students on what you expect them to do with the lesson you are assigning to them.
- Click the Choose dropdown menu to add additional slides to your lesson, if desired.
- At the bottom of the page, click the checkbox acknowledging the privacy policy (Figure 2.1).
- Click Save & Assign (Figure 2.2).

- When the popup box appears, click Get assignment code (Figure 3).

- Click Copy link to copy the URL (Figure 4).

- Go to the Canvas website and from the Courses section of your Canvas dashboard, click +Course (Figure 5).

- In the Course Name textbox, type a title for your course (Figure 6.1).
- Click the Content License dropdown menu and click the license type you wish to assign (Figure 6.2).
- Click Create course (Figure 6.3).

- In the upper right side of the page, click +Assignment to create a new assignment in your module (Figure 7).

- In the large content box, click the link icon to add the URL you copied from the PBS LearningMedia website in Figure 4 (Figure 8).

- When the link popup box displays, type or paste the PBS LearningMedia URL in the textbox provided and click Insert Link (Figure 9).

- Click Save and Publish to save your assignment and publish it or Save to save the assignment and publish it later (Figure 10).

Once the assignment is assigned to your class, students can click the PBS LearningMedia URL and access the content from Canvas.
